Smart phones aren't worth using on a continual basis without 3G so I gotta agree with Verizon on this one. So Verizon not showing non-3G coverage is fine since it doesnt really matter that much...

Yet, AT&T's EDGE network runs about 85% of the speed of Verizon's best 3G.

For me, being able to be ON THE PHONE with someone who is panicked and lost while simultaneously being on Google Maps so I can give her directions is pretty cool.

the irony is all wireless carriers are deceptive...just look at their ads: "new iphone only $99"
BUT TRY FINDING THE TRUE PRICE, MONTHLY FEES, IN THE AD

Seems to me the AT&T ads are the deceptive ones. "75 percent of Americans – 233 million people – can access AT&T 3G services today WHERE THEY LIVE AND WORK." What about their route to work, in between cities, on a country road, etc. These are the places I am most desperate to get service, like if my car breaks down.
Also, recent ads read "AT&T covers 97% of Americans," implying that only 3% of wireless users in the US DON'T use AT&T (though VZW's got them beat pretty bad). The phrasing on their recent commercials has really been pissing me off.

Starting to feel like the AT&T vs Verizon is starting to become a flame war! Who would have thought?
