I agree with all of your comments and in Nutshell, I would say Strom2 from BlackBerry is just a piece of garbage and nothing more.
U can not access Wi-fi comfortably, When you log to wi-fi the browser gets disappeared, your calls get disconnected automatically, you will face so many problems that I just throw my set but realized it my money which I lost.

Request every one not to buy strom2 its not worth.

I have owned this phone for a few months now, I really don't get all these complaints & gripes. Dropped calls? Not a one. Touch screen freezing? Hasn't happened to me. The guy in the Verizon store has this phone, and absolutely loves it! Don't just rely on the NEGATIVITY! This is a great phone!!

i regret buying this phone!iphone was a better option but im doomed & stuck with this phone.calls fail every 20 seconds.btw if there is 3G network in your country,go to manage connections & then your mobile network & choose 3G only instead of 3G&2G.this will fix your phone hopefully.reboot your mobile too as in a batter pull.

I actually like the blackberry storm 2. coming from an iphone personally i thought it was a downgrade but i had to switch to verizon. the touch screen could be better but i like the texting and the camera is nice. obviously the games are nice. but for the most part it's nice. I am thinking about switching back to at&t and just getting a unlocked cell phone. i bought 2 more storm 2's off of gsmauthority.com and one off of ebay. definately happy with my purchase. I give the blackberry storm 2, 7 out of 10 stars.

I agree to the Storm2 fans. I've only handled the Storm 1 once, but even then the typing was very easy. Some people are better at typing on touchphones than other's. It takes practice. As for complaints that I've seen on verizon's reviews such as, "Battery dies easily", "Too hard to type", it all depends on the phone - and the person. Some people are more picky about how their phone handles things than other's. I'm a huge blackberry fan, I just upgraded and ordered the Storm2...I previously had the old Curve in pink. I think it depends on how negative or positive you are about the phone, and how picky, like I said. All phone's have issues, no matter which one you get. But anywho I can't wait to get the Storm 2! (:

I have had to Storm one's and am waiting for my second Storm 2. The storm two the screen has issues and to frequently I am unable to end calls, or enter any of the functions. Pressing the screen just kicks me back to the main screen. Also jog the phone and the battery loses contact and the phone turns itself off. Shame because otherwise it could be great.

Previously I had owned a Blackberry 8820 which was a great phone with no issues. I sold that and bought the Storm2. I have learnt a lesson now. Never to buy a new model until it has been tested and tried in the market for at least 9 months.

Blackberry Storm2 has a lot of problems that aren't obvious in the beginning. Some of the calls I receive get dropped and I have annoyed customers calling back asking me what the problem is! I tell them it's my new Storm2!! I have to tell people who phone up to be quick as the link might get cut off any moment.

Sometimes the touch screen freezes and I have to take the battery out and do a reboot. I tried connecting and updating the software and funnily it repeats the updation eventhough the software is already updated every time. I am stuck with a phone that I cannot do anything about as I bought it from a friend and probably there's no cover for that kind of purchase :(

Went to the Verizon store and compared the two,(Droid and Storm 2 ) for over an hour, and left with the Blacberry Storm 2. IMO it is far superior to the Droid.

This review is biased against the Storm 2. First off...why the comparison to the previous unit? All future generation equipment should out perform its predecessor. In that regard a comparison between the BB1 and BB2 is futile.
Go to your local verizon outlet and try the phone for yourself and form your own opinion. There's no evidence presented here...just 1 persons opinion. I own the Storm 2. The distinctive feature of this phone is its touch screen panel that operates with a realistic keypress feel. This significantly reduces the number of errors & is an essential attribute when using the e-mail & text functions. In my opinion this is a critical feature that touch screen panels lack. This review did not disclose what the standard measurement is for OS lag. So...I'm not certain how the rating of slow was determined. When I press the browser icon for the internet...'Google' loads in 2 secs. Web pages load in 15-20 secs. from that point. This phone also allows you to multi-task...answer calls, surf the web, navigation, etc. all at once if necessary. I've loaded 1427 songs from my i tunes library directly to the phone. This can be done with ease using the BB desktop manager software for your PC. The media function will also allow you to shoot video. This phone is a true workhorse in that it comes equipped with 'on the go' windows applications (powerpoint, excel, word). I've used these applications to edit documents & they are user friendly. This is a great feature for a traveling professional. This phone comes well equipped and offers a variety of features in a small package.

The Verizon network is the most reliable carrier that I've had (I've had other carriers that I'll not mention). The buyer should purchase a handset based on their needs and consider fit, form, and function. I would recommend that they avoid comparisons that are baseless such as this one.

I had a Blackberry and have had the Droid for 29 days and am waiting for the Verizon store to open so I can go get a Storm 2. If you need to forward an attachment, FORGET it, you can't. The phone echoes on the Droid and you can't end a call because the screen times out. If you want to play computer games and use the google map, it's great but the Droid is not for someone trying to make their job easier through technology. The update is planned for Dec 11th on the Droid but they claim they have not heard of any problems with the Droid and aren't saying what those updates will be. You also can't use voice activiation or speed dial with your bluetooth and this is a serious problem for me. I will never complain about Blackberry again...

It's obvious that whomever was testing this phone had never used it before. I've had mine for two days, and yeah it's a little frustrating to learn, but now that I've got the hang of it, typing is easier and I'm finding apps that I want and so on. I'm chalking some of the slow internet surfing to my internet being weird here at home and I know it's on my wifi and when it jumps to the 3G network it flies. I like it. I wish it didn't cost five bucks for good themes, and installing themes could be easier, but heck, I couldn't do that with my old phone, so that's an advantage. I think it's cool and I'd give it more than a couple of days of testing before passing judgment. There is a learning curve.

Funny this was supposed to be a review for the Storm-2 instead it was a lame attempt to push the Motorola Droid. (Can you say Kick-Back) I have owned the Storm 1 for a year now and I will be the first to admit it had problems. But with the new 5.0 software its like a totally different phone. I just gave the Storm 1 to my son and picked up the Storm-2 for myself. We had the opportunity to use the Motorola Droid the Storm 2 and the HTC Droid for a weekend and we all agreed if we were to get a droid phone it would be the HTC. The touch screen on the Motorola just did not respond well. From what I can see 2 weeks in the Droid isn't doing as well as most people thought and most are leaning towards the Storm 2 instead. That said I feel confident that just like they managed to improve the performance of the Storm-1 with the new software Rim will continue to improve these products (Including the Browser) over the next few months. Maybe you will be able to say the same for the Droid2.

What a load of garbage. This has to be the most biased review I have ever read; are you being paid to promote this Droid phone?!
Every review I have either read or watched has given a totally different slant on things to what you have given. I fell in love with this phone as soon as I saw it so I went out and bought one. The keyboard is nowhere near as bad or hard to use as what you make out and I can type on it just as fast as I can on my iPhone!
If anybody is in any doubt, don't be. Don't read this review it isn't balanced.

In 3 weeks I haven't rebooted my Storm 2 even once... or my old Storm 1 (although, it's sitting on the floor on a charger, so who knows?). I'd never call BBOS 5.0 perfect (although, the Verizon update for the Storm 1 puts a newer and better OS on the Storm 1 than comes with the Storm 2) but it made a huge improvement.

When I say better, btw, I mean there are changes that are obvious from the 5.0 on the Storm 2 and the Storm 1, the Storm 1 version having a faster browser (MUCH faster), some screens that looked like the interface on the 4.x OS on the Storm 1 still look the same on the Storm 2, but have a new/better interface on the Storm 1 and so on. Go figure?

Steve Jobs uses a bb for all the iphone retards... and the droid is ridiculous, amatuer at best, I have checked out many phones (verizon, because of the network) this last week, both droids on verizon were dumb other than a great camera and kool tv commercial... they suck! The S2 has a more comprehensive, practical security measure, a much nicer design and its capable...period. Back to the "ikids", droid and iphone are toys compared to the bb's in general, and S2 is just a refurbish of a great idea anyways... why compete with iphone when they cant even get a decent network to run on unless you unlock... another thread for that; S2 rox hands down... all the tekkies need to get off the apple horse and get out of the way. Oh and I never mess with itunes... very dumb when there are thousands of other places to get yer stuff... apple is fading fast and word is they're leaving AT&T and possibbly looking at verizon... which is a smart choice none the less, but they need a serious revamp to the iphone, it's getting old and has become a huge friggin gimmick, any moron who knows nothing, knows they want an iphone and now a droid...hahahaha hilarious! get the S2, it rox... if you want a better camera... buy a camera and stop buying crap phones with good cameras then bitchin about it later... i dont know like the infamous "300 page iphone bill"... getting old, very fast

Calling the iphone and the Droid superior to the Blackberry amazes me. Is the writer seriously saying that either of these phones are better at business tasks? They might be better at playing on the web and maybe at multimedia, but when it comes to real business tasks, the Blackberry has no peer. I guess the real question is, do you want to play or handle business. The new Droid ad (iPhone don't - Droid does) is very cool and accurate as well. But the real truth is, when it comes to comparing either of them to the Blackberry's ability to do business stuff, both the iphone and the droid don't.
